This English version is provided for convenience. In case of doubt, the German version (Erklärung zur Barrierefreiheit) prevails.
Scheiber Consulting GmbH strives to make its website accessible in accordance with the Austrian Accessibility Act (Barrierefreiheitsgesetz, BaFG) as amended, which implements the European Accessibility Directive (EU) 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services.
This accessibility statement applies to the website www.scheiber-consulting.at including its English version (www.scheiber-consulting.at/en/).
Note: This accessibility statement refers exclusively to our website. It does not make any statement about the structural accessibility of our premises.
Status of compliance with requirements
Due to the exceptions listed below, this website is partially compliant with conformance level AA of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.2" (including the requirements of WCAG 2.1) and the applicable European standard EN 301 549.
Measures implemented
The website was redesigned in October 2026. The shortcomings of the old website listed in the previous statement of 21 May 2025 no longer exist on the new website. In particular:
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of each page allows you to bypass the navigation.
- Page regions are marked up as landmarks (header, navigation, main content, complementary region, footer); headings are structured hierarchically.
- All informative images have text alternatives; decorative images and symbols are hidden from screen readers.
- Text has a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1; the focus indicator is clearly visible on all backgrounds.
- All functions, including the mobile menu (which announces its expanded/collapsed state and can be closed with the Escape key), are fully operable by keyboard.
- Form fields have visible labels, required fields are indicated, and autocomplete information is provided; status messages are announced to assistive technologies automatically.
- Animations can be paused and are omitted when the "reduce motion" system setting is active.
- The language of every page is specified (German or English); links that open a new window are indicated as such.
- The privacy policy is available as an HTML page.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:
a) Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
- 1.3.1, 1.3.2, 2.4.2 – The two archived PDF documents from 2019 (previous privacy policy, declaration of consent for job applicants) are not tagged PDF documents according to PDF/UA. The privacy information is available on this website as an accessible HTML page. We will gladly send you the declaration of consent for job applicants in an accessible format on request.
- 1.4.3 – For text placed over photos (home page), contrast cannot be fully verified by automated tools; it is ensured by a dark overlay on the image.
b) Disproportionate burden
No disproportionate burden is claimed.
c) Content not within the scope of the applicable legislation
- Archived content published before 28 June 2025 (the PDF documents mentioned above and the archive article "Asset protection in times of Corona") is no longer updated.
- External websites we link to (e.g. Google Maps) are not developed, financed or controlled by us.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 26 October 2026 and replaces the statement of 21 May 2025.
The assessment was carried out as a self-assessment: automated testing of all German and English pages with axe-core 4.14 (WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 rule sets, levels A and AA) in a current Chrome browser, plus supplementary scripted checks of keyboard operation, focus order and display at a screen width of 320 CSS pixels. No assessment by external experts or by users of assistive technologies has taken place.
